The IRC Rally will head to Corsica France for a tournament that will happen from May 12th to the 14th, and it happens on Asphalt in France followed by the next event on the calender from June 2nd to the 4th, for the Prime Yalta Rally in Ukraine, another asphalt event. This is the third round of the IRC circuit's 2011 season, with the previous race the Rally Islas Canarias El Corte Ingles in Spain, held April 14th through the 16th. The Series started the season with the Rallye Monte Carlo, which happened April 18th through the 22nd in Monaco and run on Asphalt. This week's race is nicknamed the Rally of 10,000 corners, and while that might be a slight exaggeration there is no doubt that this track is a challenging one. This is a new race that was just recently added to the IRC calender for 2011.
The driver in the top spot in the standings is Juho Hanninen with 33 points while Bryan Bouffier takes second with 31. Freddy Loix takes third with 30 points while Guy Wilks is fourth with 25. Jan Kopecky is in fifth place with just 22 points. Thierry Neuville, Stephane Sarrazin, Francois Delecour and Andreas Mikkelsen are also in the top ten, as well as Nicolas Vouilloz.
